Dodge Muscle Cars: Charger and Challenger

Dodge is the creator of the hemispherical combustion chamber on a powerful reciprocating engine commonly referred to as a HEMI. The HEMI engine is available on both the Charger and the Challenger.

Although the Charger and the Challenger have many similarities, there are important differences. Since the Charger comes as a four-door sedan, with more rear-seat legroom, it has more interior room in general. The Challenger, on the other hand, comes as a sportier two-door coupe with options for larger engines and more horsepower, all the way up to and including the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 Hellcat SRT (for Street and Racing Technology), producing 707 horsepower.

Both the Charger and the Challenger are available as all-wheel-drive models with V6 power plants producing 305-hp. All-wheel-drive means all around better traction and handling especially down dirt or gravel roads or under conditions involving rain, ice, and snow. The handling is further enhanced by the reinforced modified suspension, and 268 lb-ft of torque channeled through an 8-speed automatic transmission with a manual shifting mode.

Whether you want to experience the Charger, the Challenger, or both, we would love to set you up for a test drive. Just give us a call at Wolfchase Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Bartlett, TN!
