2017 Jeep Compass earns Top Safety Pick

Tennessee roads can bring a variety of driving conditions and weather conditions, so driving a vehicle built with safety feature lets you drive with peace of mind. That's why we are happy to learn that the 2017 Jeep Compass was named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

The Jeep Compass earned the highest possible ratings for crashworthiness and collision-warning technology. The available Automatic Emergency Braking technology, Full-speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus, received a "superior" which is made possible by the Jeep Compass' sensor-fusion technology.

Sensor-fusion technology combines features of radar and cameras. They work together to agree that a frontal collision may be coming and the vehicle's brakes are activated.

"The all-new Jeep Compass benefits from high-strength steel content that exceeds 65 percent," says Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global. "This not only contributes to crashworthiness, it speaks to a level of engineering sophistication that makes this vehicle the most capable small SUV ever."
